Cruisin' with Mickey

After a few days in Disney World, we jumped on the Disney Wonder and set sail for the Bahamas!  This was our first time on a cruise (so I don't have anything to compare it to), but Disney sure does it right!  We truly enjoyed every minute on the ship.  Abby is still telling me she "just wanted to live on that boat."  I feel the same way sis!
(Again, I have way too many pictures to post, so here are just some highlights...)

What's a cruise without a little shuffleboard?!  I discovered that game is harder than it looks...

A cruise and eating also go hand in hand!  The food was delicious, the restaurants were fun, and I really loved not having to prepare or clean-up any meals!!

Here is part of our group with our awesome servers, Wayan and Deniza...

Luckily there were more princesses on board as well!  Abby wouldn't go see Tiana in Disney World (even though she's her favorite) because Naveen was there too.  Thankfully it was just Tiana on the ship!  We saw her a few times...

Is that not the cutest picture??  Claire loved to twirl and dance for the princesses!

There were some awesome pools onboard as well.  Abby's favorite was the Mickey pool.  She even did the waterslide a couple of times!

There was a special splash zone for kids in diapers.  Claire really loved it until she saw the Mickey pool...

One of our most favorite parts of the cruise was the two visits to Castaway Cay, Disney's own private island.  The beach was beautiful, the water was warm, and the kids (and adults!) had an absolute blast!

Here we are with the ship and the Flying Dutchman (from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies) in the background.

Mickey, we will be back again someday!!

A Dream Vacation

We just got back from an incredible vacation to Disney World! It was very hot, but we had a great time nonetheless. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was very cool because this is what we saw off our balcony...

Giraffes...

and zebras...among other African animals!

While I have WAY too many pictures to post, here's a few highlights of the trip...

(Come on over and see the rest of the pictures any time!)

Eating at Cinderella's Royal Table and wishing very intently upon a star...

A visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to get a princess makeover...

(Easily THE highlight for Abby!)

A ride on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios...

Visiting with lots of characters...
(Claire loved them all!! She wouldn't let June go, actually)

And, of course, lots and lots of princesses!!!

We also went on a Disney Cruise...I'll do another post on that soon!!

Whoa...

It's only appropriate that my last post had to do with some sort of holiday dresses...and now we're on to the next set! I have many reasons/excuses for not posting for a long time, but we'll just let that be water under the bridge, right?! For the grandma who lives far away...this is for you!!

How cute are they in their Easter dresses?!?

Look at what Claire does in many pictures...
See??

This kid cracks me up!!

We also had a birthday here recently...Abby turned 4! She had a birthday celebration at preschool and had to wear her crown all day. Such a princess! And of course she had to have a Tiana party...

Funny kid!

This was a very eventful birthday because we had no power for about 5 hours that night. Thank heavens for Daylight Savings and some extra daylight!

Although you can't tell how dark it was thanks to the flash on the camera, the kids played games with our little electric lantern and had a great time! They couldn't have cared less that we had no electricity. It was awesome!!
